Let me tell you a story.
There once was a man who was in a flood. As the water was rising his neighbors said he could flee with them.
“I’m staying. God will save me,” he insisted.
The water kept rising. Then the fire brigade came by and said they will rescue him.
“I’m staying. God will save me,” he said.
He sat on his roof when a boat full of soldiers approached.
“Jump on and we’ll take you to safety,” the soldiers offered.
“God will save me,” said the man.
In the end, he drowned.
When he came to heaven, he asked the Lord: “Why didn’t you save me?”
“I sent your neighbors. I sent the fire brigade. I sent the army. And yet you would not come,” answered the Lord.
Not all help has to be supernatural
Don’t be like that man. God often uses means of grace to make our lives better because He’s intensely interested in our well-being.
So, in his great providence He gave us painkillers to stop headaches and chemotherapy to stop cancer.
Therefore, He also lets you cross paths with someone who can help you with your relationship with your mom.
That’s why I want to invite you to consider hiring me as your coach.
I use techniques based on cognitive psychology. But I combine them with insights from the Word of God.
My coaching draws a lot of inspiration from 2 Corinthians 10:5 “…we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
This is what I’m offering
I offer a coaching package where we meet for 6 times, once a week for an hour at a time. The coaching is done via video conferencing.
Bit by bit and thought by thought we’ll teach your brain to look differently at the situation with your mom.
We’ll show your mind how much agency and power you actually have in your life and that you’re not at your mother’s effect any longer.
You’ll get authority over emotions like anxiety, guilt and shame.
I want to inspire you as a Christian woman to nurture your emotional well-being.
The main reason I want to help you
Why? Because then you’re better equipped to love and serve God, your family, your friends, your neighbors, your church.
No more will your life feel as if you’re pressing down a beach ball under the water. No more wasting your emotional and mental energy to constantly navigate your relationship with your mom.
Just freedom to stand before God as his child and live in his grace.
Email me if you’re interested in coaching with me. Then we can set up a free call as soon as possible so that we can decide if the two of us will be a good fit.
